Recruitment Policy

Our policy is to ensure that the recruitment process is as objective as possible. All applicants are assessed against the same criteria to give them an equal opportunity, regardless of nationality or ethnic origin, gender, disabilities, sexual orientation, religion, age or economic status or any other form of unjustified discrimination. All posts have a job description and person specification.

The job description describes the overall role and responsibilities of the post. It is expected that staff give 100% commitment necessary to ensure delivery of the responsibilities. The person specification identifies the minimum skills, experience and qualifications needed by the applicant to carry out the job effectively.

All applicants are required to complete a detailed application pack and are vetted to the British Standard BS7858 (current version) for the purpose of screening and vetting personnel.

Personal information is used only for limited purposes in accordance with the Data Protection Legislation.

The Policy shall be reviewed on an annual basis or when change arising to legal requirements, standards or as a result of the review of the process.

This policy applies to all staff, including regular full-time, regular part time employees, Workers, Contractors, Sub-contractors and brought-in labour/agency employees.
