Ethical Policy

Leisuresec will ensure it acts in a sociably responsible manner in every aspect of its business.

Leisuresec strives to integrate ethical practice into all elements of its business, and holds the same high standards for all of its suppliers and sub-contractors.  Leisuresec will ensure that all relevant legal requirements are met, and where possible, exceeded.

Leisuresec’ s commitments can be broken down into 3 distinct areas:

  1. Responsible Operations
  2. Our People
  3. Acting with Integrity

Responsible Operations

·       Health & Safety: We expect all our people to play their part in making our operations safer and ensuring their team has the right equipment, training and knowledge to guarantee a safe working environment. More details regarding our approach can be found in the Health & Safety Policy.

Our People

As an organisation that provides a service delivered by its people, it is our top priority to provide a fair and responsible workplace that is free from discrimination, inequality or harassment. More information about our commitment to this can be found in the Equal Opportunities Policy.

·      Health & Well-being: At Leisuresec we recognise that our employees can only perform at their best, when they feel at their best. We strive to provide a supportive environment for our employees, and prioritise their well-being. To support this objective, Leisuresec will:

d)     Enable our staff to continue to support at least one charitable organisation every year through voluntary fundraising activities, and to give them the time and opportunity to participate in charitable events

·      Modern Slavery & Human Rights: Leisuresec does not support child labour, and believes that all employment should be freely chosen. Leisuresec will never employ, or condone the employment by a supplier or sub-contractor, any person where their employment would conflict this principles.

a)     Receive a wage that meets the local minimum wage requirements;

b)     Only partake in overtime where it is voluntary, and receive adequate compensation for any overtime worked; and

c)     Do not exceed the maximum working hours allowed by law.

Acting with Integrity

  • Code of Conduct: Our commitments as a company can only be withheld if our employees feel equally accountable to these. That’s why we have a code of conduct for our employees which insists that we all behave with honesty and integrity in all our activities and relationships with others.
  • Conflicts of Interest: We avoid any situation where conflicts of interest might be seen as influencing our business decisions or behaviour, or might stop us from acting in the best interests of the company. If we believe there is, or might be, a conflict of interest, we speak up.
  • Anti-bribery & Corruption: Leisuresec has a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption; details can be found within the Anti-bribery & Corruption Policy.
  • Safeguarding of Information & Assets: We ensure that all information and assets that Leisuresec owns or has access to, is protected, and treated with appropriate confidentiality and respect.
  • Prevention of Tax-evasion: Contributing to Society through paying taxes correctly is a basic requirement of a responsible business. We recognise that working ‘cash in hand’ can be prevalent in the security industry, and therefore Leisuresec takes additional measures to comply with this commitment, including the cross-referencing of operator time-sheets to invoice payments.

In this policy Leisuresec recognises its social & ethical responsibilities and issues this statement as a commitment of both management and employees to achieve the above goals. Leisuresec will maintain adequate internal controls to ensure standards are met.
